Hello,
Will there ever be a program that will reencode a full DVD ?
There are a lot of Transcoding programs out there (IC7, DVD2One, DVDShrink) but will there ever be a program out there which will re-encode a full DVD9 to a DVD5, keeping all the extras.
I use to remember using DVD2SVCD (which is really a collection of programs) about a while back to reencode movies to CD.
Oh the good old days

I believe IC7 does indeed re-encode which would explain why it takes so long to do it's thing.

DVD shrink will put the whole video on a DVD R/W WITH all the extras. That's pretty good considering that the store bought DVD holds twice as much data. I don't see how re encoding would improve anything.
