  1. I'm hoping my capture card didn't bite the dust but I'm out of ideas.

Here's the problem. I've been using my ATI 128AGP pro card for a couple years with no problems. All of a sudden my captures don't have ANY audio...not even a faint whisper. I hear the audio while capturing so it is making it to my computer. Any ideas? I'm using MMC 7.6 and haven't installed or updating anything lately...it just went from working to dead. Thanks in advance, Andy

I don't use your card, but the most painless and least expensive thing would be to try a new cable. Maybe a connection went bad, got bent, etc.

There's a lot of ATI users around here that may offer more - when they are back on. :c)
    There's no place like 127.0.0.1
The Rogue Pixel: Pixels are like elephants. Every once in a while one of them will go nuts.

  3. Open the volume control on your computer and choose option/properties/recording and make sure line in is selected and the volume level is not zero.

Try recording with the volume control window open. Make sure the settings don't change on there own (It happens).

  4. Duplicator you didnt mention whether your using tv tuner or composite /s video. If your using the later and nothing in your physical (cables ..etc) setup has changed then I would check your sound card's audio settings.

I've had an errant program or two mute the line in or lower volume etc.
Just be sure that the input for your sond is not det to mute or it's volume level set too low. Let us know how you make out. If you need more details pm me or catch me on MSN...Guido1963

    good luck.......

There is a registry entry in .....Software/ATI/.... somewhere
    that controls that sometimes.
