I didnt do my research and may return this above listed product, but until then maybe some of the vets here could answer some of my questions.
1. I have now heard it is limited to its software use. Is this true or is there a work around or is it limited to just capturing and then you can edit and work with the file in other software formats?
2. I mainly want to record sporting events from tv and may start editing some of my PS2 plays from sporting titles to convert into small web content type movies? Is this the product for me or should I return as soon as received?
3. The funny thing is the USBMovie Box was backordered where I had purchased and they did not have an estimated time to ship. I came here yesterday evening and did some research, and found that I may like the Canopus ADV-100 better. When I went to cancel the order, it had shipped about an hour or two prior while I was doing my research. It will be approximately a month before I can work with it either way, misssion dictates, any tips?
Thanks for the input...![]()

Another question just thought of.
Can this device be a pvr or will the software not recognize it as some have said capture programs other than studio do not work?
How are they able to put propreitary software to the device where it is not recognizeable anyhow? I originally purchased the device thinking it was an inexpensive solution with a reputable company.... I really don't like that until I dug really hard in the research that these matters came to light...
