  1. Here's my question:
I have dvd decrypter and I am able to make image file, burn to dvd, and it plays great on my stand-alone player, however due to size I can only get a portion of the dvd on disc. When I rip through IFO, I get everything on the dvdr, but it doesn't play in the player. What is the process I need to go through to rip the information properly and burn onto the dvdr where I can watch it on my tv. I have heard the program nero works well and I may need dvdshrink as well. Thanks for your help in advance!!!!

  2. If the disc is single layer (DVD5 or DVD-/+R) all you need is
DVD Decrypter (ISO mode---Read then Write ISO)

If its dual layer (DVD9) you rip in File mode (ALL file)
Reduce the size with DVD Shrink then burn the VIDEO_TS folder
(that contains the IFOs, BUPs and VOBs) with Nero, RecordNow
or freewares (IMGTool 1.00.9 or others)

www.dvdshrink.info has cool guides for DVDShrink and NERO too!!!

I suggest you read the Glossary and How to's

  3. my problem is, is that the size of the single layer dvd source is larger than 4.7gb, so the iso write then burn only burns a portion of the source dvd, what do I do in that case

You will need to treat it like a dual layer DVD. i.e. Use DVDDecrypter in FILE mode to copy all files, use DVDShrink to get it down to a recordable size, and then use Nero, whatever to burn to the DVDR.

I think the best way for you would be to get the latest version of dvdshrink, and then read through some of the guides explaining how to use dvdshrink, either on this site (just click on the red dvdshrink text.) or for some real nice animated guides go to www.dvdshrink.info
