Personally I've never really look at DVDRAM before, but a machine up here at work has on in it PowerMac Dual 500 with DVDRAM.

Anyway the info is very confusing, I find info on type 1 and 2 carts, then see type 3 listed on an online store. I'm confused.

Is there one I can copy data to, take out of its cart, read on a DVDRom then put back in for more data goodness?

  2. When looking for removable cartridges stick to Type 2 or 4 (2 for single-sided & 4 for double-sided). I like the removable type because the cartridge serves as a storage case when the disc is not in use, plus they give you the flexibility to use them with both deep tray and shallow tray DVD drives. -Ricky[/b]

Your DVD-ROM will have to be DVD-RAM compatible. If you have one that is, the type 2 from Imation are easy to remove. Does the RAM drive at work use the no cartridge disks? I have some Panasonic no cartidge disks that are nice.

Also, if the data is small enough, you might try one of the 8cm disks. They are much easier to carry in a pocket only 1.4 GB or something like that.
Hope is the trap the world sets for you every night when you go to sleep and the only reason you have to get up in the morning is the hope that this day, things will get better... But they never do, do they?

Well its a Liteon 163, found no info on it supporting it one way or the other so I assumed no and kinda dropped the entire Idea. As far as the DVD-Ram drive, I have no idea I'll have to find out which on it is. I do know its the one that came in the dual 500mhz Powermac, cause thats what its in.
