Xvid works but fastdivx don't

Everything is in the title.

I've reinstalled it 5 times but the result is always the same. I can encode with XVID presets but when I want to use fastdivx :

- the ffmpgex progress app appears only 20 or 30 minutes after,
- to say me "finished".

When I open the terminal to see what's going on, It seems that there is not much information on the reasons. Even when it works (xvid) it doesn't seem to be happy with the codec conf !

The codecs.conf messages can be ignored. About the fast divx fail, please email me at major4@mac.com with detailed information about your source file, source format, etc.

It looks as if the problem was coming from ffmpeg and not ffmpegX.

I downloaded and installed ffmpeg 0.4.8. and tried again : it worked.

But still : if I don't check the "Terminal" cell, it seems that the encoding is delayed : the status bar appears only 20 minutes later while with the Terminal window, I see that the encoding starts immediately. strange no ?
