  1. hey i am trying to use my own bitrates in dvd2svcd and i put them in at the bottom but still it uses its own average and i cant work out a way around it other than changing all the sizes till it gets to where i want, is there a way to disable the bitrate calculator in it? also i do 5 pass vbr and the edges of parts are blury anyway to get that better? any help would be great

  2. 8) 5 pass ?? jeez .. overkill ... try soften intrablock noise on tmpgenc and do 2 passses. raise your bitrate to help with blockiness.

    You can use Tylo's plugin for DVD2SVCD using CCE 1-pass VBR that will fill the number of CD's you want. It does all the rest to fill up 1, 2 or 3 cd's of movie

    D2SRoba is the name of the plugin.......

  4. If you are using TMPGenc look at using CQ mode. DVD2SVCD will again sample the movie and calculate the bitrate needed to fill the cd up.... 8)

  5. its ok i found out what i did wrong and the quality on tv is like a dvd, tried tmpg and was WAY to slow, was 20 hours on single pass compared to cce which is 18 hours for 5 pass, thanx for the comments though, heard heaps about cq just not to sure about it yet

  6. Try a 1-pass VBR in CCE. I think anything over 2-pass is wasting time.......
