Ok I have been trying to figure out this problem for months. I am beginning to beleave that it is the capture card at fault.
I have been trying to author 5+hr on one dvd. I have tried to lower the bitrate to 1500/1800max, i have tried captured vcd with audio at 48k, and the same thing a svcd. The results with dvd-lab and most author programs is the audio is out of synch on the dvd but the origional mpeg file is fine. With moviefactory2, the audio is in synch but the chapers point to the wrong location.
I would like to know if anyone has had any luck recording 5+hr on one dvd. If so, what capture card are you using?
