  1. i had a tough time ripping goodfellas to anything... i believe cause the disc is scratched... finally got dvd decrypter to rip both sides to my harddrive and they seem to work fine cause i can view them all in powerdvd... but, now that i have these video_ts folders i can't seem to burn them... i tried dvdshrink but when i choose open files i get "dvd shrink encountered an error and cannot continue. The error is: failed to open file The reason is: system cannot find the specified file."

any idea what this could be?

If you do it exactly as described in the guide above, it should.

    "thanx for the assistance."

    You're welcome.

  5. You know that dvdshrink 2.3+ decodes right from the original disk to your HD, right?

  7. ok, when i get home from work i will try it... but, i guess this comes back to my original problem... the reason i was ripping with dvd decrypter was cause the movie is goodfellas and its pretty scratched up... i first tried to backitup with clonedvd and anydvd... side a worked no probs, but strangely side b gave me the old clone dvd 'can't copy css protected discs'.... i assume this is an error cause its scratched? ????

so, i tried dvd decrypter and at first it wouldn't work, but then i selected those error check boxes and i finally got it and it can play from powerdvd...

so, i guess i will try dvd decrypter again and maybe dvdshrink directly...

any idea why the b side reported that it was copy protected? i use anydvd 1.6.13 i think... could scratches cause this?

  8. you dont necessarily need a video_ts folder at this
point, ok lets just say all the files are in a folder,
let shrink open the video_ts.ifo and all is ok, if you
want only the movie, open the files say "vts_01_0.ifo,
all ur probelms are answered now, just be sure, the
new files go into a VIDEO_TS folder to be burned ok?
