i had a tough time ripping goodfellas to anything... i believe cause the disc is scratched... finally got dvd decrypter to rip both sides to my harddrive and they seem to work fine cause i can view them all in powerdvd... but, now that i have these video_ts folders i can't seem to burn them... i tried dvdshrink but when i choose open files i get "dvd shrink encountered an error and cannot continue. The error is: failed to open file The reason is: system cannot find the specified file."
any idea what this could be?

With DVDDEcrypter did you rip in FILE Mode and in Settings did you select all files?

oh, i used ifo mode... would that cause the problem? I still have a folder with the .ifo and .vob files in it? sorry, i'm a newbie at dvd-ripping... so if i rip in file mode my problems should be solved?

"so if i rip in file mode my problems should be solved?"
If you do it exactly as described in the guide above, it should.
"thanx for the assistance."
You're welcome. -

so, i tried dvd decrypter and at first it wouldn't work, but then i selected those error check boxes and i finally got it and it can play from powerdvd...
so, i guess i will try dvd decrypter again and maybe dvdshrink directly...
any idea why the b side reported that it was copy protected? i use anydvd 1.6.13 i think... could scratches cause this? -
you dont necessarily need a video_ts folder at this
point, ok lets just say all the files are in a folder,
let shrink open the video_ts.ifo and all is ok, if you
want only the movie, open the files say "vts_01_0.ifo,
all ur probelms are answered now, just be sure, the
new files go into a VIDEO_TS folder to be burned ok?
