PAL TV to play NTSC

Hi, i just brough x files season 1-7 dvd. they are region 2 but ntsc and my dvd player supports it, but unfortunate my tv does not? Any ideas how i can get any leads or wires into the tv to make it support ntsc?

Otherwise i will have to buy a new tv or watch them on my pc!!!!

I remember in the early eighties i was living in Samoa (Western Samoa) back then.

People would goto New Zealand and bring back TV's.

New Zealand is PAL and Samoa is NTSC

A cheaper solution would be to buy a new DVD player that can output NTSC as PAL

In Europe such DVD players are not uncommon.

Unfortunately I live in the USA so I cannot comment on European model DVD players.

Best bet would be to buy some european DVD magazines. I am sure there are ads for such DVD players in there and places to buy 'em.

This website carries region free DVD players and some can convert NTSC to PAL so it is worth a look see.

I should point out though that if you get a true MULTISYSTEM TV then you will get better quality out of NTSC discs since a TRUE multisystem TV can display both NTSC and PAL without the need to do any conversion.
