    do i need a dvd recorder to watch a movie or play a game that is on a cd on my ps2 and is there any store i can buy a mod chip for the ps2 like actually go over? thanks for any help

    Im not quite sure what you were asking but for general info go to http://www.ps2ownz.com

    They have info on modchips, fliptops, and things like that, as well as how to burn games.

    As for movies, un-modified PS2's play DVD-R and +R depending on the version. V1-current versions all play -R/RW, V4-current versions can play + or - R or RW. Its just games that you need to modify the system for.
