  2. Did you try it before, or some other program by the same company?

I had the problem I tried a program once I hated, then they came out with a newer version, but I could not test the new version because it was expired because I had previously installed the old version!

I had this same problem when Tmpgenc DVD Author came out.
I kinda liked the first version and was sort of thinking about buying it then, but was testing other programs still.
Then they released the NEW version which was supposed to do alot more, inculding burning! One of the main reason I didn't buy the first version.
Of course, time lock was expired! I could not test the new version to see what it did or if the burning worked on my system!

Easy solution though, reformat and do a fresh install, that gets rid of those pesky locks

Naw, seriously, I don't know what to do about those, but I have 4 systems!
So If I really want to see if a new version is any better than the old one I just install to a different system. That's how I found out how great DVD author was, I tested the newer version on a second system!

That's probably your problem, you had an older verison or sometimes a company has 2 or more programs, and one locks and causes the others to be locked later, though that doesn't happen alot, I had that problem at least once!

You can try un-installing the program and cleaning your registy! That doesn't work very often, but it might. Also if you delete programs, you need to clean the registry anyway to get rid of invalid entries and keys.
Beware though, learn what your doing first, and use one of those cleaners like Jv power tools.
It probably won't solve your problem, but you will have lots of entries you don't need or want in your registry after deleting any programs.[/b]
