    Hello, all...just posting my 2 cents about the Matrix DVD-R 4x media.

    I have a Sony DRX-500ULX (with the latest firmware upgrade). The DVD's worked great. It was also my first time burning at 4x, so I loved the extra speed! I thought these were an excellent price as well.

    Shop4tech.com sent me some of those Matrix 4X DVD-R disks to test. So far, they seem to have problems burning at 4X in my Sony DRU-510A. 3 or 4 out of about 8 have started out at 4X then quickly slowed down to 2X. However, once burned, they test out pretty well in Nero DVD Speed, regardless of the fact that they only burned at 2X.
    I can rip them up to about 8X with hardly any dropouts/spikes. Even if they only burn at 2X, they're still not a bad deal at about 85 cents each.
