  3. Ok, well try this one: https://www.videohelp.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=98376&highlight=dvd2svcd.

Just adjust the encoding parameters to suit your needs.

Sorry, can't help you with subs, just DVD-video conversion. Though the question has to be asked, do you really want them permament?

  6. using dvd2svcd to make a DVDR is simple. Use the CVD template (352x480), uncheck the 48->44.1 downsample, change the bit rate tab to 1 CD at 4200 bit rate. Make sure your GOP structure is set up correctly (3,4,1 - for CCE) and turn off making images.

After it is done doing its thing, import the resulting mpg's into an authoring program (movie factory 2 for example) and burn it.

I do all of mine at CVD and I can fit 2 (possibly 3) movies onto 1 DVDR.

Here is a link to my CVD to DVD-R conversion guide (sorry, but the site has annoying popups, going to move it to a non pop up site soon):

You'll note the differences between my instructions above and what the pics say is on the advanced setting I have closed GOP
s and a GOP structure of 3,5,1. That is your call. Also, The image tab should have "dont make images". And finally, it is for ripping a DVD to CVd. Obviously for an aVI, you'll change it to locate the avi and choose the avi option on the misc tab.
