  1. I have an avi. I want it on a DVD. I don't need chapter stops. I can hear fine and I don't speak Thai so I don't need any subtitles. I don't know what a subpicture is, and I don't have an encoding program that doesn't leave me with an mpeg without some sort of "this will go away if you buy the full version!" watermark. I live in the United States and I use a PS2 as a DVD player. Please take me through this. Again, I want this DVD to be as basic as possible. When it goes in the player, it should start right up. No menus, one language, no subtitles, no chapter stops. Forget everythign I just said if any of those are absolutely essential to the authoring of a DVD.

I've d/l a rediculous amount of programs, so assume I have whatever you choose to reference.

Thank you in advance - any input is greatly appreciated.

Did you at least make an effort to try and read some of the wonderfull guides we have available in the "GUIDES" section located to the left????

Just a word of advice, not many members here will help you if you dont try to help your self first.

    You will need 2 things.
    1. An encoder. I use tmpeg or Canopos ProCoder. (Sorry but you will have to pay for each of these. Tmpeg is cheap by comparison)

2.An authoring program that will convert you freshly encoded mpeg into the files your PS2 needs for it to play.

I think the reason people would like you to look at the guides first is that although your request for a very simple DVD seems easy it would take a very lengthy post to explain to you step by step how to get there.

Was that link on purpose? (Baldrick.... we have a problem.) It seems to be simply outrageously priced as well!

Actually no. But after looking at it it's kind of funny. I think thats the program he needs.
