Help with subpictures >.<

I know this is probably a hopeless thread considering the amount of people who use Adobe Encore, but I haven't been able to find the solution anywhere. My problem is that no subpictures show in the finished dvd or the VOB files, so I have to navigate blind . When I preview the project in encore the subpictures work fine. Has anyone else had this problem?

Don't just tell me to ditch the prog (I know it's a buggy little runt ) because I spent a LOT of time working on authoring this thing and authoring again with a different prog is the last thing I'm gonna do.

I see people have had problems with subpictures using dvdshrink.. maybe the problem is similar..
