  1. Hello people...need some help here...I have some svcd's (music videos)which were authored properly using svcd2dvd and ifoedit, and the resulting vobs were fine...i think the problem i have has something to do with the creation of ifos in ifoedit once i have all my vobs...i joined all the vobs using vobedit, and then created ifo's in ifoedit for these merged vobs...my resulting VIDEO_TS folder looked good, played it in PowerDVD fine, and i was excited to see how it would work in my dvd player...

one i burned the dvd, it played very nice in my player...the first 3 music vids played back to back no problem...but thereafter, the player would always stop after each video....not even a long pause, but just stop...i would have to interject and push prev/next for it to move on...does anyone know how to cure this problem? i think it's happened to others where it hangs after each chapter for some seconds, but mine hangs permanently!!! please help, if there is some "debugging" that i have to do to the ifo files, please help!!!

    Thanks in advance!!!

  2. Hey,

I did some ifoedit but i don't know much about it. But can i asked you why you used it and not burned the vobs svcd2dvd made? Cause i think the problem lays with the joining with ifoedit.

  3. well yf2001usa, i don't have the svcd2dvdmpg+ , so what i do is demux the svcd's to their elementary streams (.m2v and .mpa). The audio has been resampled to 48Khz of course, and then i mux each of the svcd's in ifoedit, which gives me vob files. I've heard others say the problem lies in joining in ifoedit. But my videos play fine in my player, and the audio/video is in sync more or less (a few of the music vids were a tad out of sync). My major problem is the videos stopping at the end of each chapter. There are some changes you can make in the ifo files, i've been reading the forums on doom9.org, i'll post there soon once my 5 day waiting period is done! But if anyone knows anything here, i'd appreciate...

  4. well buckshotgupta you can do a number of things.

    1. try the demo version of svcd2dvd to see if this program will help you and then buy svcd2dvd it isn't that exspensive.

    2. try the demo of dvd-lab see it that does the trick and then buy that expensive program.

    3. ask arround in the author dvd forum about what could be the problem with ifoedit. But remember ifoedit doesn't make real (the are almost real) ifo's. So it might never work.
