  1. I am trying to convert an avi movie to DVD RW for the first time, I am used to doing avi to CD but not to DVD RW. I am a bit confused about the settings that I should use on TMPGenc even though I have read the guides.

The size of the file is 114 mb (the movie is in three parts) so perhaps someone could tell me what settings I need specifically in the "other settings" section and the file size setting.

Thanks for any help that you can give me.

Well, how were you doing AVI to CD? Why dont you try to read some of the guides first. Start here.

  3. Use the TMPGEnc Wizard to convert the video, VCD (mpeg1), SVCD and DVD(mpeg2) are all DVD compatable formats. Once converted, you will need to author the DVD, TMPGEnc DVD Author is good. Once you have the VIDEO_TS folder authored on your HD, use appropriate burning software to write it to DVD in DVD-Video mode, CopyToDVD is good for this, also Nero (if you have a copy that burns DVDs).
