  1. I am converting a pal dvd to ntsc dvd. I am using Mainconcept to convert my pal vob file to a ntsc mpg file. After converting it I made a dvd. When I played the dvd the video looks fine but I noticed that when people are moving or there is movement in the video, the video shifts. If people are on the screen standing still the video looks crisp, but when they move the video looks distorted.
Is there a setting in Mainconcept MPEG Encoder that can fix this problem or is there a better program out there that can convert my pal vob files to NTSC MPEG files.

  2. I have not used MainConcept in awhile but I had the same problem, I believe the 3:2 pulldown option is what caused the distortion. I now use CCE along with FitCD to output the correct script and have had great success.
