Hello everyone

I have just recently captured 1.5 hrs of video from my VCR, with Snazzi USB III in Mpeg-2 format(direct encoding), 720*576,Field orderB, PAL, VBR 6000. I have always done direct encoding and then burning it to DVD-R with these settings. I burnt the video later on using VS7.0. There was no rendering necessary as the tape was already edited. I made my still menus and burnt it with Pioneer A04 (as usual). The DVD-R is NOT playing on Pioneer XV-DV77 set top player. It does play though on Pioneer 535K. I went to this web site DVDR help to see the list of players and check compatibility, this model is not mentioned there. As Pioneer is a partner of the DVD-R forum, I presume this model should be able to play it as well, the older model does.Or do you think I have to make changes in my capture settings. I have heard from somewhere that VBR sometimes brings compatibility issues? I am not sure though. Anyone's input will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you
