  1. Hi all, i have some mpeg1 format files in my computer and most of them play fine, however some of these files, when played, they appeared to be streched sideways and and the aspect ratio is totally wrong. does anyone know what's causing this? thanks a lot!

well, if you look at vcd resolution, it is not 4:3. it is stretched out a little sideways. some video players don't fix the aspect ratio and leave it stretched out.

  5. what's weird is that those files used to look normal, and for some reason they look more like 16:9 now. is there an option in Windows media player where i can set ths aspect ratio?
