Hi! Is there a program I could use to write subtitles in mpeg movies or dat movies?

If you have a script or something and want to type it all in and time it, you could use Sub Station Alpha to create a data file that can be used by the subtitler plugin for VirtualDub. Of course that would mean frameserving out of virtualdub and re-encoding with the usual loss of quality, but you would have the sub-titles. I have not done this, only looked at the programs, and decided it was too much work for what I wanted.
