  1. Hey everyone. I just got off the phone with my best friend and he told me for his Video Productions class in college he has to make a 15 min. TV show. He will have 15 people working under him and he is the producer. It will then be aired on the campus TV station.

He asked me for some ideas because this is where I really shine....hehe.

I have a few but was wondering what all of you guys would do. It would be cool if there was some kind of comedy built into it because we are both pretty nutty characters.

Any responses would be appreciated..........even if he can't use them.....heheh.

So lets see how creative people are.

    Thanks........Hatz

  3. Well, I always love game show skits. There is alot of room for comedy in those. You could get motivated by watching the Celeberty Jepordy skits from Saturday Night Live, those are hilarious!

Another idea is an infommercial. Those are funny even when they try to be serious!

Like the "Oops! I crapped my pants adult diapers!". This one on SNL was hilarious!

Compress Romeo and Juliet into 15 min, and have the people obvious that they are rushing.

Have a person who is 10min away from home, and they all of a sudden really have to take a dump. VERY BADLY!!!

Someone in the group gets their 15 min of fame when a big shot producer sees them on the college TV channel.

  6. Maybe an accident prone guy goes outside to walk down the street to the deli for lunch (kind of like Mr Bean). Along the way, he causes grief to other's without realizing it. Like stepping in wet cement leaving his footprint, and the wet rag he uses to clean his shoes, he drops on the ground where men carring a mirror slip on it causing them to drop and break the mirror.

You could end the movie with him enjoying his sandwich in the deli and out the window, you can see all the damage he caused.

Hmmm. If I can get around to it, you may just see this one day. Adding my own ideas to it though.

  8. HAHAHAHAHA.........these are all great ideas. I'm going to get him to give me a copy and I will definitely show it to anyone that would like to see it.

I am going to run these past him to see what he thinks.....I bet he will like all of them.

  9. UPDATE:

He really liked all of the ideas...........now there is a new twist he didnt tell me about. The whole show has to be done in the studio. I told him if he was going to do a car scene........(the very bad crap idea).........he should use those cheesy backgrounds they use on shows like seinfeld and SNL.....I think that would make it even funnier.

But an infomercial would be good in this enviroment.

    This is gonna be fun.....hehe.

    15min (In the studio) ideas

-15 students are told to make a 15min movie, but as they start filming they start disappearing one by one. The producer must solve the mystery before he is next.

-A substitute video teacher comes in and the students try to play pranks on him, but he turns into the hulk and puts them in their place

-Robbers are caught trying to steal video equipment as a few students enter class. A few fight sequences and chase sequences ensure.

  11. - An underground lair with a mad genious taping a "I am going to take over the world" message, frequently messing up and re-trying. Before he is done, a buzzer rings and the stage hands begin tearing down the set because he is out of time on his stage rental. (you would need to build on this idea though, 15min is too long)

    - There is a "nerd party" and a bunch of girls show up. The nerds of course don't know the first thing about interacting with women, and the girls have fun with that.

    - 4 words : Star Wars Kid re-enactment j/k

I took a video productions class back in high school and I had to do a similar thing(by myself though). What I did was try to create a horror story about 2 friends(I enlisted two of my own friends) and one is jealous of the other so she dresses up like a ghost and tries to kill the other. The whole thing was so spontaneous and poorly directed(and written) that it ended up being one of the funniest thing I had ever seen. BTW, I got an A for it.
