Problems with matsushita SW-9571 (DVD-R disc reading)

I was wondering if anyone might have any knowledge on how to fix this problem. I've recently installed a SW-9571 into my computer and my problem is that I will not burn DVD-Rs/DVD-WRs/DVD-RAMs. It wont recgonize the discs and if i try and access the drive when a Blank DVD is in it, it will say that there is a device I/O error. As for blank CDs, everything works fine. I've try different programs and even different Operating systems, and i get the same problem everywhere.

I'v just got one of these drives and it's working ok with dvd-r and cd.
Might be that it does'nt like the discs you are using. I'm using bulkpaq orange 4x, the only ones i've tried so far and they seem ok with this drive.

The type of media I have tryed on it are Fujifilm and verbatim, i'm not sure about the first, but i've heard good things about sw-9571 and verbatim.
