I tried using nero vcd to make a cd with photos on

I set VCD compilation to store source pics, pal
Menu - enable - layout-6thumbs-background image

I previewed this and it showed page 1 of 6 with thums on but not able to select anything. I burned it to disk. Autostar to open disk and shows folders on the disk.

I used power dvd disc Mode to run the vcd, it displays same page as what was previewed, you cant select any of the thumbs, or select another page.
I tried play but nothong
I tried next but nothing,
When i tried back it went back over and showed a picture, if i do this it goes back through lots of pics and then it moves forwards through the pictures automatically which is what i wanted, but why does it not start from the beginning , or able to select thumbs?and have to manaully go back over through the pics to view.

Is there a solution to this?

Yes, there is: Don't use Nero. It may be a nice piece of CD/DVD recorder software, but an authoring app it aint. For VCD I'd recommend VCDEasy.
