Hello,
I used Mainconcept MPEG Encoder to convert a movie file so I can burn it on a DVD.. the file ended up being 6.3gbs. Will I be able to fit all this on a DVD-R without losing any picture quality.
Also a friend of mine has given me some DVDs that play ok at the start of a movie and then towards the end they movie just stops.. not pause but stops .. do you think it could be the media he is using? It has a blue/purple color and I was thinking that this might be the problem. I have tried it in a couple of DVD Players and the same thing has happened .. any help would be appreciated to help me avoid this same problem!!

You may have to adjust bit rate to make it fit on one disk. Unless you have a very discerning eye, you may not notice the difference. Or you could edit out what you do not think you will need, if you want to keep the same bit rate.
