Hi:
Is it possible to make a copy of a dvd made with my Panasonic DMR-E50 or home movies on my computer with my cd-rw drive? Can I convert the DVD to some format to do this. I can make copies by going from my dvd player to recorder but they are real time so if I have a 4 hour recording it takes 4 hours to dub. Thanks

You need a DVD drive in your PC to rip it first.
Then you need a program (visit the tools section) that can transcode it to SVCD or VCD. This should do it.
