I've spent the last three days trying to create a menu for my dvd and have had no luck at all... I can create the menu without any drama, but I cannot get a crisp image, and have NO luck with my fonts.
So far I have tried the PAL menu system (really blurry), and the NTSC system (not as blurry, but fonts break apart). The fonts I have tried using are: Verdana 14 pt, Verdana 14pt bold, Arial 14pt, Arial 14pt bold, Euromode 16pt.
Since the NTSC menu looks the best so far (and considering all the video files used are NTSC) I have created my image in Photoshop using dimensions of 720*540 at 72dpi, exported as a jpeg or a bmp (i've tried both - and they BOTH become distorted)
Any help at all with this would be most appreciated...

CB, since I got your version of my backgroup, I have probably encoded about 8 or 9 different dvds, with only one of them not blurring the text. I do not understand why when I use the settings previously mentioned I get extremely blurry and hard to read menus... any help would be greatly appreciated as i'm finding this all very frustrating
