Hi, I got from a friend footage encoded in MPEG2 at size 480 x 480 with mp2 audio at 44.1k and at 29.97fps. I've used the trick to put it on dvd using the header change trick, but its just not compatable with all my dvd players and I want this to be a true dvd and want to take the time to reencode in 720 x 480 with is the DVD standard with a framerate of 29.97 still to work in DVD Studio Pro to author a DVD with it. Using FFMPEGX to try and reencode gives me a m2v which is the right size, as in 720 x 480, but it sped up the video and will no longer play at the same speed as the audio. The original MPEG2 either muxed or demuxed played in sync audio and video. It cant be different length audio and video because it all worked fine in DVD Studio Pro with the header trick and the audio reencoded in ac3 by A.Pack.

So the question is is there any other MPEG2 encoders to use to reencode the original MPEG2 I have and keep the video speed correct? I would just use the Apple MPEG2 encoder but its not an option for export with a file that is already in MPEG2.

I do have DVD Studio Pro 2 in the mail coming from Apple, will something in there change that fact and let me reencode that file?
