when i burn a vcd using nero i cant fast forward or pause with my apex dvd. if i try to fast forward, it will go back to the beginning of the movie.

i remember reading something about that...
here it is...
4. To be able fast forward/rewind the SVCD on your standalone DVD-Player you must:
Download this scandata.dat (right click on the link and select Save Target as to download it, it is just a very small textfile).
Then add/drag the scandata.dat to the EXT folder of the SVCD.
Don't know if this applies to your VCD but you can read for yourself on this page...

I have an APEX AD600A and I can ff/rew, goto, etc. Nero sucks at burning x(S)VCD. I have to make an image of the MPEG (VCDImager) then burn that.
This will create a correct scandata.dat file too. Fixed all my problems. I've been using TSCV so I can add chapters too. -
I also have this problem when burning SVCDs. I have tried the trick that Jalen mentioned, but it doesn't work. At least my Nero produces a scandata.dat to the EXT folder itself, and doesn't allow me to replace it with the downloaded version. I'm I missing something here (besides ff/rew)? I use Nero 5.5.4.0
