Mintek 1600 users - Does it recognize +R or +RW ?

My son has had this incredible Mintek, that plays about anything, until .... I put in couple of home DVDs which are in +R and +RW format and it won't budge. I certainlt surprised.

Is the Mintek-1600 incapable of playing +R and +RW formats ?

My PC and my Cyberhome 500 play them with no problem.

I have the usual VIDEO-TS directory, then the fillows following format.
