How many people are tired of people who post shit and when they finally get feedback they bother to not even give a fudgesickle. Im for one am getting tired of posting suggestions and help answers to people, who tend to post redundent questions and then don't even bother to reply back whether or not they solved the damn problem or not.
Im not gonna say any names.
Now don't get me wrong. I was also helped by many people, when I was starting out, but I atleast had the decency to reply back if whether or not they helped me or I solved the problem, how I solved, advice..etc etc. But now Im getting kinda tired.
Anyone agree say
Penis.![]()

It doesn't really bother me. I appreciate a thank you, or an acknowledgement, but I don't expect one.
I'll say penis, anyway, though. Penis. -
I'm mostly here to help others and I've never really noticed the lack of gratitude but more the lack of maturity
you don't have to thank me for replying by the way -
What, you don't get gratitude every time you help someone out?
Pissed about it?
Welcome to the real world pal.
You think it's unique to this site, you think, or expect everyone here to be brimming full with gratitude just because decent people like you take the time to help others?
Is there no crime where you live?
Get used to it pal, or fall under the wheels of today's society.
I always leave feedback or a thank you, and when I get one thank you from ten that one makes up for the nine I didn't get.
Anyone agree say Penis?
What are you, like 12?

I always leave replies to others whether it was help or not. But if I give you a piece of help, I don't need the reply. Whatever.
Tough crowd tonight! -

I agree. And the day we start giving up on wanting or expecting basic common decency from people is a day I no longer want to be on this Earth.
I may not get it - but I am sure going to want and - yes - expect it 'til I am no more.
Sure, I am disappointed when I answer someone's question, thoughtfully, and they either:
- do not reply at all,
- ask the very same question in another thread,
- thank everyone else and skip me
Yeah, that's real life, but I don't have to like it, accept it and I sure can complain about it, like DivXerous.
But I'm not giving up. Some day some one will thank me like I've always done since I started here - or any forum. Maybe a nice little "don't forget to drop a line in a thread thanking anyone or letting them know if their post helped" would not go amiss when people sign on here. Not a rule so much as a pointer.
Oh yeah, and - penis. -

I have an idea for all you 'penis' people....
...how about the following signature in every post you make?
I belong to the penis club. Please be kind enough to post back with either your gratitude and/or feedback on my suggestion. Thanks
Might solve your problem.

How many here have ever worked phone support? It's when you DON'T hear back from people that you know you have helpd them.
I agree, it can be discouraging not to be thanked, that's why I always try to get back at least one more time and issue a big thank you whenever someone helps me.
Even if you do not get a thank you in reply, you at least earn the respect of your peers here whenever you solve a tough problem.Just what is this reality thing anyway? -
The only reason I don't reply to a thread to say thank you is
When I reply, that will bump the tread up near the top. Why clutter up the forum with a tread that's been answered.
The best way would be to PM that person and refrence the thread.Don't give in to DVD2ONE, that leads to the dark side. -

This sounds like that Cecilio post a while back.
Please post all your comments in the feedback forum. And be mature about it. If you don't like it here, do what everyone told Cecilio: leave.

Remember I was not the one the initiated the PMs you did. Then you go and post them.....And like I said in the second PM, go ahead and post them if you want -

Just keep sending me PM's instead of bringing it up in the middle of someone's post. If you keep this up they will lock this one just like the last one. I leave it up to you if you want me to post the other PM's. I didn't feel all the cursing that you did was appropriate for any of these forums.Don't give in to DVD2ONE, that leads to the dark side. -
Okay guys. About pm. Lets put it this way. What's in the past, is in the past. What's been done has been done. No need to bring up the past, because it's old....and it's old
. I can see that hostility is forming here, and that flames are being sparked. So please leave it here before someone says something that gets them a warning.....or gets a spanking

I don't give a damn if noone says sorry, I just would like to learn that is my point, so before you start saying things like " oh he's such a bitch " "he needs a thank you all the time " that was not my point to begin with...
Get it right.

Oops, sorry, looks like I need a refresher.
Posting a response in gratitide doesn't necessarily mean using the phrase 'thank you', it can mean taking the time to respond with feedback.
I get more satisfaction from someone saying 'it worked' than I do 'it didn't, but thanks anyway'.
Gratitude comes in many forms sonny.
If you're gonna rant about not getting satisfaction in response to your assistance then at least try to accept replies as they are written. If you interpret my post as critism then boy, I fear for you in this big, bad world we live in!!!

Damn, Will,
You're getting rambunctious in your old age, aren't you, Gramps?
Another thread you were accused of being hypercritical.
Doesn't sound like the Will Hay we all knew and loved from just a few months ago.
Are you getting tired, too, Gramps? Is there nothing new but to rehash everything, ad naseum?
Jeez, I hope it's not that Dan A is running you ragged!!
One nice thing about a Grand less than a year old, they can't outrun even an old fart like me
Cheers, Will, gonna have to check into the IM, got Netscape, IE, AOL, don't know what to do with any of them.
