This site has a method to make all Philips DVD players region free. Read the short method at the site and then read the rest of this post.

But first you need to send a special IR command (RC6, codeset 4, key 235). To do this you can use a One4All remote. But it only lists how to do this with two remotes:
-OneForAll (Model: URC7560)
-OneForAll6 (Model: URC4300)
The guy at the site says he has no time to find out which remotes allow you to send this special command. The question I ask is that I have a 'One For All 4 Digital' remote (Model: URC-7541).
Can I use this to send the command?
How can I find out if this remote can do this?

from what I've read on various sites, all it takes
is a one for all remote that has the magic button, button that actually says magic on it, and supports dvd players.
though I haven't found any one for all remotes with that stupid button on it, which of course makes me curious if any other one for all remote without the magic button will work.
Hey if anyone knows of a remote that will turn the philips player to region free that I can still purchase. Please let me know.
