stand alone dvd players are less tolerant. did you scan for and remove bad frames from the avi before converting?
I said I'll be done in a minute. I meant a Microsoft minute.

  3. what kind of sync, gradual or continued 2-3 seconds.

Quick answer on continual 2-3 seconds, demux in TMPGENC shave off or add the amount of delay. Remux, burn and watch.

Unfortunately, there are a number of ways and applications to do your conversion, so I would be writing all night giving you all of the possibilities for what could have caused this and how to correct it. Please reply back with more details.

Its more like continued 2-3 seconds, the problem apear only when playing the movie in my standalone dvd player even when i extract the m2p file again the synch is ok...strange

  5. "some" players have that issue. I use dvd2svcd to backup my dvd's and there is an option that I check that says ">0 second delay", which I mark to 2 seconds. It has on the software a warning message that setting this to greater than 0 will solve desync issues in some players. Sounds like your dvd player is one of those.

Based on what you said about it being a continued 2-3 seconds, I would demux the video/audio and either add or cut 2-3 seconds off the audio, mux it and then it should be in sync. Of course, if you were to play the result in another dvd player, it may be the opposite 2-3 seconds or just play fine.
