Hi I have a prob burning VCD I have downloaded a .avi converted it to MPG that did nt have any sound just video. So using VirtualDub i ripped the audio out, then encoded that worked great. Then I cut the MPG in half (so to fit on two cds). The MPG's play fine in windows media player, but when I try to burn them I get an error saying something like invalid block data

Click here.Remember, if you are not converting AVI files, you do not need to use this guide. However, if you are, always do this first. It may save you trouble in the long run.

Since it was downloaded, it is possible that the file is corrupted in some way data-wise. You might want to try DLing it again.

You say you cut the mpg in half, could that be your problem? What did you cut it with? Does it fail whilst actually burning or does your burning app simply refuse to accept your mpg's? Do you still have the avi? Try encoding to vcd in two halves using the source range option in tmpgenc.
