Just wondering if any of you can advise me. I am relatively new to this.

I have just started playing around with ulead movie factory 2se that came with my new pioneer a06 and new computer which is an Athlon 2700.
What I have been doing is transfering old videos (old tv programmes and home videos) to disc using a panasonic DMR E30 on ram disc, copying it
in movie factory2 adding chapters, editing commercials on some then burning it onto disc.

The quality appears to be ok but I have recently been told I may not be getting the best quality using the same programme to do everything.

Most (if not all) of the disc's I am working with are dvd5 so I am not trying to transfer/squeeze feature dvd's to dvdr so am I doing the right thing? It appears to be working fine.
Is there any loss with copying disc's this way? I did an experiment copying
of a dvdr I completed to another dvdr using the direct disc method with mf 2 The quality seems to be the same,. I couldn't notice any difference.

The main reason I am asking is I haven't seen many comments about burning disc's this way. Everyone seems to be mentioning dvd decrypter and nero. I have these programmes but have felt I haven't needed to use them.

What I am using is:

Drivers
SAMSUNG DVD ROM (which plays dvd ram)
PIONEER A06 DVD BURNER

Software
ULEAD MOVIE FACTORY 2SE (came with the burner)

Thanks for taking the time to read this. Any comments greatly appreciated.
