Just received Instant Copy 8 at my doors today ?

Well didn't even expected this.. As a reseller, I got some new software every weeks and today I got Pinnacle Instant Copy 8.

Will try it later, but anyone hear about it ?

Yeah I've had it for a bit. Was waiting for it to show up for someone like you before discussing it.

I haven't had a chance to play with it much yet though.

Anyone else? Impressions? I'm going to be testing later on today.

I will NOT be installing their "InstantDrive" option, though. I already have GOOD programs to do this (Daemon Tools, Alcohol).

I just installed it... look awersome.. Now you can unselect title set you don't want. (don't know if they corect IFO but probably yes)
Also, a lot less problem with "List out of bound -1" error.. I have oe that had this problem on my drive and he got it with no problem

anyway will see in 1 hours how is the quality/feature.. but look very very good so far.

Sometimes I'm a beta tester. In this case I just got a nice gift copy of the final version through my channel program. I've only had it a couple days, probably the same batch of copies that vric was in.

P.S. If this release has improved their transcode speed, it might be a rival to CloneCD in my mind! Selective removal of titles along with IFO fixing was CloneCD's only strength, and CloneCD has the weakness of NO control over compression ratios.

Well this version is a must have

Good news:
- Option that let you choose Movie only by one click

- Can remove title set easyly and safely now. it does a WAY better job than CloneDVD on this. Just like if you used IFOEdit.

- Removed audio are unselectable and invisible in my DVDPlayer

- Look like a lot less problem with "List out of bound -1" Error after you used IFOedit.

- Option to copy DVD-ROM feature

- Quality look improved.. I tested NARC at 68% quality and it look really great. Better than the movie only I made with DVDShrink (2.3)


Bad news:

- Same speed. took over 1 hours to make Narc..

- Same File size output problem. I set to 4.36Gb and get a 4.21gb result.

- Layer break not removed

Still, it look like a must have. IC7 is uninstalled and and IC8 is now my favorite software. it's slow, but the quality and now the good feature kill CloneDVD and DVD2one. Still DVDShrink is a good software, but look like we have only 2 real transcoder now.. IC8 and DVDShrink.
