Hi,
I just burned a few music videos and some skip when i'm playing them. The original file doesn't skip but when I convert them I get this problem. I am using nero 5 to burn. Is there anything I can do to fix this? Any help would be appreciated
Thx,
J

I don't know how much I can help because I'm having the same problem. Do all your video's have the same frame rate? I thought that may have something to do with it but they all have the same one it seems. Some of them don't even skip, they just slow down...I'm also using nero but every time it asked me if I wanted to re-encode or shut off the satndard option I've been shutting it off because the re-encode option always makes the program go weird( i won't be able to right click or burn the cd but it' s not frozen)

Check the bitrates of your mpegs with bitrateviewer. If any of them are higher than the (S)VCD spec allows that may well cause skipping. Other possibility is your DVD player is having difficulty reading the discs. Try a different brand media or burn at a slower speed.
