    hello, my wedding was recorded with a pal sony hi-8 camcorder back in 1991 (got married in germany). i dont have access to a pal player or the camcorder. my goal of course is to convert to ntsc and burn to dvd(this i can do). i was thinking a local shop my be able to transfer it to mini-dv for me and then i can do the rest. any other ideas? thanks

    Some Sony Mini-DV cameras have a passthrough feature.

    Maybe you can just pass it through to your computer?

    Maybe not...just a thought.
