  1. This is what ive done so far as i think it may be relevant to my VCD problem

"Ok i use tmpgen to convert my avi files that are divx movies. The mpg files were created and i opened them to check video and sound works ok which is does. The problem is that when i play it through win media player its displayed upside but if i use Power DVD to read the mpg it displays correctly, even so in tmpgen where i was cutting it into smaller sizes, the preview showed it the correct way up.

Im wondering as i used the vcd pal template in tmpgen, if i add the file to nero and burn a vcd will it be displayed the correct way up?I clicked play once loaded there and the preview was correct again, does it matterthat media player makes it upside down?"

When i loaded the mpg into nero vcd, it gave me a message about incompatibility and mentioned the screen sizes required and frame rate.
I ran my mpg through dvd patcher to check the screen sizes and frame rate and they were exactly the same as what the nero message had mentioned. It left me with options to turn off compliance or to re-encode, what should i do as i didnt really want to make more coasters.

  2. Burn all future projects to cdrw then if it works simply copy the cdrw to a cdr... should save on the coasters!
