    I have authored (s)vcd DVD's with SVCD2DVD and TMPEG DVD AUTHOR and they both play flawlessly in my player (Mintek). Here is the problem. When I author a (s)vcd DVD with TMPEG DVD AUTHOR and play it in my friend's player (Zenith 5201) it plays fine, but when I do it with SVCD2DVD it won't play. Does anyone have any idea why this could be? Would using a patch with SVCD2DVDMPEG fix it? If so which one? The reason I ask is because I like SVCD2DVD better.

    This one's got me stumped. Any help would be great.

    The patching is just to fool the authoring software not the dvd player. therefore it wouldn't help. when you say it doesn't play does it just do nothing or does it play wierdly?
    SVCD2DVD v2.5, AVI/MPEG/HDTV/AviSynth/h264->DVD, PAL->NTSC conversion.

    Okay, this is what he says. When he puts in the DVD the menu appears, but the colors are off (he said it looks like the convergence is messed up). Also the letters are shifted to the left, so much that some of them are cut off. And when he tries to select any movie nothing works, he tried just pushing play too with the same result.

    Another thing. On my TV the letters are shifted to the left too. Everything else works fine though. On my portable the menu is perfect.

    Ask hime to try pressing the numbers on his flicker i.e 1 for menu item 1, 2 for menu item 2 etc. Also what about DVDs with no menu.... can he play those?
