dvdr freezes half way through

I`ve just started to back up my dvd collection and thought i`d done ok, but when i try to play them they freeze approximately half way through,not always in the exact same place but very near. I`ve tried re doing them but still get the same result i`ve also tried different players and get the same result.
I`m using DVD shrink to decrypt and edit and Nero 6 to burn.
All 3 DVD`S are 9 to 5 on one disk
Datawrite classic media.
Am i making a simple error or is there something else wrong.

It's either bad media or a dvd player laser intensity

try a different brand of media

it that don't work

take your dvd to the electronic store and play them on their dvd players

whichever play them

buy it

Aren't Datawrite media Princo's? You probably just need to get a different brand of media.

Thanks for the reply, I don`t think its a player problem as iv`e tried it on two DVD roms and two DVD Standalones with the same result so i`ll try a different type of media and see what happens.
