I have Primo PrassiDVD and also RecordNow Max... which as far as I understand are basically the same thing.

I have a Primera Duplicator that uses PrassiDVD or else I would just use RecordNow Max... but the problem is DVD's that are recorded in PrassiDVD don't play in all my players that I typically use for a test but the same files (authored with TMPGEnc and DVDLab) with not modification and burned with the same options in RecordNow Max will play in everything I put it in... same brand media burned at the same speed and the same files.

Is the programs really that much different? Any suggestions?

I forgot to mention I've also tried creating an ISO with imgtools classic and burned the image with Prassi and get the same results.

  3. I used to have problems with PrimoDVD burning DVDs (actually mini-DVDs) because I checked the "recognize and format Video_TS and Audio_TS folders according to DVD specifications" (or something to that effect) in the options settings. I could only get playable discs by unchecking that option.

So play around with that setting if you haven't already.

  4. Saw your second posting after I posted.

The fact that you get the same problem with an ISO created in another program would undercut my proposed solution, since the setting I'm talking about wouldn't affect a pre-created ISO. It would only affect the ISO structure that Prassi created on the fly while burning a Video_TS folder.

thanks for the reply but does anyone else have any suggestions? i can't believe such a drastic difference between the two as far as being compatible with various dvd players.
