    when i retrive programs off my replaytv and put them on a dvd the video is extremely interlaced. Does anyone have any insight on how to solve this problem??

    all NTSC tv programs are interlaced. You should keep it interlaced for TV playback. I fyou want to play on your computer just use dvd player that deinterlaces during playback like WinDVD
