I am trying to burn several movies I have recieved onto DVD but when I use TMPGEnc Author it states that the video is the wrong resolution 480 x 480. It also states that the video framerate is 29.97 and cannot beused with 480 x 480 only with the following resolutions, 352x240, 352x480, 704x480,720x480. How do I go about changing the video resolution to the right size so that I can burn these movies to DVD? I have tryed using TMPGEnc to convert but the files wont load. I have searched the forums but saw nothing about others having this same issue and have searched google but no luck. Newbie here looking to learn. Please point mein the right direction. Thanks in advance.

There is an application that you can use to "fool" your authoring software and player into thinking that your non dvd resolution is dvd resolution. Here is one app: https://www.videohelp.com/tools?tool=157#comments
there are a few others out there that will do it. Others reported great succuess using the application on their dvd players, but the compatibility is less than having a true dvd compatible resolution. Personally, all my back ups are dvd resolution of 352x480 at 48mhz, which drop into any dvd authoring software.
Your only other option, that I know of anyway is to reauthor (you might want to change the resolution to 352x480. To make it a little easier, download a copy of dvd2svcd and back up your originals to non standard CVD.
