Scenario:
removing extras and re-encoding movie with Tmpg and then remux
this is the guide that I used
http://www.doom9.org/mpg/ifoedit-basic.htm
Procedure:
DVDDecrypter-rips DVD to harddrive using IFO
IFOEDIT-removed trailers
DVD2AVI-demux all audio tracks and save project as .d2v file for Tmpg
Tmpg-reencode movie
IFOEDIT-[problem] how do I remux?
Problem:
I followed the guide and tried to remux the file in IFOEDIT but it looks like IFOEDIT freezes on me everytime or that this process takes very long.
I go to "author DVD" in IFOEDIT and choose the video and audio streams as necessary to create the DVD files. I burned all the files onto a DVD and tested it out. I see the DVD menu but nothing is selectable. I examined each individual VOB but there is only audio.
I checked my original reencoded file and it works fine.
I loaded up the IFO file from the new DVD in IFOEDIT and checked out its file structure. I only see 1 PGC. Obviously the structure is no longer correct.
Can anyone help me in fixing this problem or point me to a different procedure?
Thanks
