  1. I've got Arc Soft, ShowBiz, NEO, Ulead Video Studio software, but I can't find one that will allow me to go beyond the 4.7G barrier. I have a few files that are a bit larger and I'd like to use Instant Copy to reduce the size slightly but none of my software will allow a file larger than 4.7 G. Is there any free/cheap software/shareware out there that will create a bigger file?

  2. I use Ulead DvD Movie Factory 2, it allows me to create iso's and VIDEO_TS folders larger than 4.7GB. I then run them through DVD2one or Pinnacle Instant Copy.

  3. I use TMPGEnc DVD Author to create vidoe_ts folders as large as I want and then use DVD Shrink to fit it to DVD size.

  4. I do it all the time with neoDVD Plus. It will let you put the files on your hard drive but of course it won't let you record a 5GB file to a 4.38GB DVDR.

  5. I also used TMPGEnc DVD Author to create a 6gig dvd the other night to my hardrive, then use another program to shrink that to fit on a disk.

Don't remeber if it was DVD2one or DVD Shrink. I went on a download frenzy the other day and got all the working demo's and free programs I could while I had a high speed connection
Normally about 1.5k to 3k downloads, but I had t1 access for a couple hours one day, so I pigged out

Anyway, TMPGEnc DVD author gave a warning, ignore it, and it makes the video_ts folder and files.
Free fully working demo for 30 days. I think it's like around $60 or $70 to buy it.

My only problem in doing that was I made menus with tmpgenc dvd and after I shurnk the dvd to fit the disk and burn it, they were missing. Don't know why, guess the shrink program stripped them out. But I could still skip forward chapters on the setop player. Just no menu.
So far I like the program very well, and all the disks I have made and burned using tmpgenc DVD have worked for me and a freind in our players. I did home movies for them from their VHS camcorder tapes.

In DVD Shrink choose the full disk backup option, (not re-author) to re-encode with your menus.

With DVD2ONE, under the copy mode, select "Full disk" (not movie only) to re-encode with your menus.

  7. Hey thanks for the info, I do have Neo and I thought the error messge was a stop message, i just tried it and it works great!

Now, one other NEO question--- how do you adjust the picture settings on an anlog card? I've been opening another app. like Win DVR and making the adjustments then closing it and reopening NEO. There has to be a better way-- What is it?
