I successfully converted a movie from my DVR to my laptop as a .ts file. The total file size is now 1.97GB. When I try to move it to the asset pain of the HDTV2DVD nothing happens. Is there a file size limitation on how much the software can take?

  2. No it has no limit, if I'm right, but very often it doesn't correctly recognise structure (PIDs) of .ts files.

If you want to demux only try TSMuxer instead or ProjectX (MPEG2 type only).

Perhaps a FAT32 limit? Is your HD formatted NTFS?

  4. LOL, if toddon14th has FAT32 then he would not be able to copy the file to HD/laptop...

I also tried ProjectX and converted to the MPEG2. It plays fine on the PC (Windows Media Player, other PC-based players), but when I went to write it out to a DVD using another software package, (Cyberlink DVD Suite, PowerProducer), I didn't have any sound!

And yes, my HD is NTFS

ProjectX is not guilty 8) In what format is the audio? It's important as some standalone players sold on the US market do not handle MP2 audio if it is the only stream. It's because a mandatory audio format for NTSC DVD is Dolby Digital or/and PCM. PC may play anything, including PAL video.

The maximum possible size for a file on a FAT32 volume is 4 GB minus 1 "null" byte (232−1 bytes).
