When setting up the PC-VCR timer with the Matrox G-400TV to my D drive which has 12GB spare the scheduler shows just 930.5MB available to D drive for a captured TV program.
Does this refer to the maximum size of an MJPEG capture for one session?

I don't think so. My Marvel G200 will capture 2GB a trunk for unlimited time (up to drive capacity).
BTW, The highest MJPEG setting will yeild about 3MB/sec, so 930 MB would only give you slightly over 5 minutes.
Might be something wrong in your settings?

It wouldn't hurt to run Scan Disk on your drive--there might be an error that's causing its capacity to be reported wrong. I had that happen once.

Thanks both for your comments. I have the recording set-up to highest capture quality which reads 1hr 8mins for 12GB. However the Video Timer still only gives 930MB for a time shifted program capture. I suppose it could be a faulty readout and the only way to test it is to try it out
and see how far it will go!
